Davis-Standard’s booth was a nonstop flow of activity, during K 2016, demonstrating the depth of its Global AdvantageÔ in extrusion and converting technology.
According to the final K show press release, this year boasted a total of 230,000 visitors, attending from over 160 countries, an increase of 12,000 – or approximately 5.5 per cent – from the previous show in 2013. Featured this year were 3,285 exhibitors, up from the 3,220 in 2013. Machinery and plant manufacturing occupied the largest exhibit area, with over 1,900 participants. Also on display were new materials, innovative recycling concepts, and new applications for organic plastics and additive manufacturing.
“The magnitude of participation in this year’s show is indicative of the value of plastics manufacturing worldwide, and the progress being made in every aspect of the industry,” said Davis-Standard President, Jim Murphy. “The focus on energy, material and resource efficiency, and the emphasis on the impact plastics have on modern living environments, reflects the commitment by all involved to move the industry forward.”
